A COMMUNITY FOOD PROJECT
Keep an eye out for our community food planters popping up around town this Spring, in partnership with Ilfracombe In Bloom, and thanks to generous funding from the North Devon AONB.
Growing food is vital for our communities and for our planet. Eating food that is grown locally and seasonally reduces travel miles, unnecessary plastic packaging, and energy for storage. It also helps us to connect to nature and understand where our food comes from.
WHY?
Growing food is vital for our communities and for our planet. Eating food that is grown locally and seasonally reduces travel miles, unnecessary plastic packaging, and energy for storage. It also helps us to connect to nature and understand where our food comes from.
HOW?
We have teamed up with Ilfracombe in Bloom to deliver planters that contain edible herbs, veg, fruit, and even flowers!
WHAT?
We are growing a variety of easy to grow and easy to care for produce. These include:
tomatoes
peas
nasturtiums
french climbing beans
rosemary
thyme
potatoes
